Message Well from my limited knowledge (and since no-one else has posted…. lol)

Always a difficult one to nail down particularly if its only a little amount.
The first and simplest is confirm the correct amount and type of oil in the engine, too much oil can make it smoke and too thin wouldn’t help either.
As far as a real problem, you should be able to take the intake pipes off the throttle bodies and check for oil in the pipes, if there is oil there it would indicate it's the turbo/s. (you then may also find a bit in the intercoolers).
Cylinder head issues (compression test), Low pressure (with burnt oil) could be valve stem seals, rings or head gasket.
I have read that when doing the compression test if it comes back low put some oil in the cylinder and try again, if that makes it better then it is most likely the rings (although you will definitely burn oil then. .lol).
The best test for the valve stem seals is to do a pressure test on the heads but that means heads off.
Heads off mean new head gasket and so should rule that out as well.

Mine is currently smoking (only one side, separate dual exhaust) and I've done a number of things but haven't got a definitive answer yet.
I've done a compression test on the three cylinders and they came back on the low side of OK.
I have no oil in the induction pipes.
I did have a bit of oil in the PCV valve pipe, so I replaced the pcv & put in a hump pipe to see if that would help but still the same (200 miles later) well maybe not quite as bad. even if it is the pcv, why is oil being pushed up the pipe, kind of points to high pressure in the cam section.

I'm currently in discussions with a Zed specialist for possible costs & solutions.

so as far as I can see the worst case scenario is rings followed by turbos as both mean engine out.
